Would like to see someone who can finish on at least one of Jost’s wings. Is Bednar going to be on the bench for the game?

Still TBD on Bednar’s availability.

Rambo JTC newhook doesn’t move the proverbial needle for me. Expect bednar to give them the 6/min per game treatment real quick.

I’m sure the lines will change quickly in the first few weeks of the season, but the forward core seems a little disjointed. I’d much rather see the following lines:

Landeskog-MacKinnon-Rantanen (Domination Line)

Newhook-Kadri-Burakovsky (Multi-dimensional Second Line)

Helm-Jost-Nichushkin (Absolute Shut Down Unit)

Compher-Maltsev-O’Connor (Scrappy 4th Line)

Yeah this looks better. As aj and crew have stated, it’s doubtful nuke stays on 2W. Just doesn’t have the hands

No scoring on your bottom six. A playoff disaster waiting to happen. Again.

That’ll be shored up at the deadline. It’s a perfectly fine bottom 6 for the regular season.

It’s adequate only because the top line can win games by themselves in the regular season and the entire bottom 9 could be replacement level and still the Avs would win a lot.

Instead of shoring up at the deadline, play the kids and let them develop is the better plan. Don’t pull them for simple mistakes.

Absolutely. Hopefully, Bednar gives them necessary TOI, but he’s been prone to pulling the young way too quickly.

The time to put the kids in is early. There’s plenty of time to get them up to speed and recover if they don’t work out.
