I wonder what grade of separation Johnson’s shoulder is and if it requires (what would now be) season ending surgery.

Definitely don’t understand this Alt acquisition either. Seems like we have plenty of mediocre-ish D to call up already.

Seems like they are giving another guys with potential a chance… they are doing that a lot this season and it has worked for some (Kerfoot) and not for other (poor yaks)

I don’t mind a quiet deadline by the Avs but Sakic should have been able to trade 1 -2 UFAs for picks. It is disappointing that he could not make that happen, especially since the stated strategy is to build through the draft. Picks are assets that can be combined with other moves at the draft.

Just looking at the trade summary, it did not look like there were many buyers. Very quiet trade season, the Duchene effect I guess.
