Im digging Kerfoot even tho he’d pass the puck on a penalty shot. Jost and he can be really good together.
As far as Z, Bednar grossly over reacted by benching him.

Something is brewing with Zad for sure…. The kid was not on the ice for a goal in the last 7 games i think at ES… Is the most physical, was amazing against MacDavid and very good in playoffs last yr, even with a bruising harm?!?? I realy dont understand…. Weird situation for sure….i dont like that Nemeth who is pathetic wuth the puck and not so good this yr is playing over him… Ridiculous…. I like Bednard but this is realy weird….

This post makes me feel better about the 2C spot. Kerfoot’s vision is incredible and I didn’t even notice his FO%.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement from Bednar regarding Big Z, but what do you expect him to say? That situation is intriguing and makes the mind wander a bit.

Kerfoot is solidifying his position as 2C for the foreseeable future, is Jost being cornered into a wing role going forward?

What does Kerfoot’s next contract look like (bridge?or 4+ years?) if he maintains his current trajectory?

Sure there’s a lot of room for growth, but I really like the kid, and he fits with everything the Avs are trying to do going forward.

But can the Avs trade him for Bozak and a 2nd?

It’s going to take a ton more for me to be comfortable with Kerfoot moving forward as a 2C. A 2nd line winger, sure. Just because he takes face offs well does not mean he should be at center other places on the ice.

Although Landy has basically been a center from the redline back since joining that top line.
