Corpsman not foreman. Just say he was a corpsman attached to a Marine unit. Medics are Army. Marines are very devoted to the corpsmen attached to their units. They hike ride, fly eat and sleep with the Marines. A round of stick taps for “Doc” Allen. This former Marine salutes you.

You probably know by now that Navy Corpsmen are naval enlisted personnel, not Marines, like the headline says. Veterans, especially Marines, can be very particular about who is called what. But only a small percentage of Americans serve in the armed forces, so any story is usually appreciated.

Must have got a speck of dust in my eye or something…

First off, I thank you for your service Mr Allen!

Second, I sure hope he gets to that Avs/Blues tilt.
And I also hope you keep in touch with him Dater. So if he does get to that, or another game, maybe you could get a message through to Joe that there is someone very deserving of a handshake.

I know the Avs organization is very giving. A really close friend was going through chemo last fall. He called me one day to tell me that Landy had popped into his hospital room. He was jazzed about it. Those kind of gestures do matter.

Well done. If he does make it to the Feb 16th game, I hope he’s acknowledged as the “Hero of the Game”. He certainly deserves the spotlight.
Keep fighting Mr. Allen and may the a “A” be with you, always!!
