Wow, was that a performance I wasn’t expecting from the Colorado Avalanche here in frozen Ottawa tonight. Avs just flat-out laid an egg against the last-place Senators. I went through all the reasons why in my story. This is your uncut audio from the locker room, including a couple minutes with Matt Duchene from the other dressing room.
I went over there to say hi to Dutchy and congratulate him on being a new father, and also for scoring two goals on his 28th birthday. As he said, “You couldn’t have written it any better.”

For the first time since the season that shall not be named, I have started turning the games off and just flat out not watching. An absolutely pathetic performance tonight. I actually text someone about midway through the second and said, “Top line looks L-A-Z-Y tonight”

I don’t understand why the Avs didn’t put forth the effort to win the game. Were they mentally fatigued, was it a lack of confidence?

Maybe it is just me, but the Duchy audio is really quiet. The others are great though. ;(
