Nice write-up AD. Liked the “delivery” angle! Been a while since we’ve seen a nice comeback like that. I think I remember in Duchene’s rookie year an early season win at the Joe was one on the Avs road to a playoff appearance. We can only hope!
Tried but was unable to come up with a game-based rhyme for Pizza!! Pizza!!
Maybe Red Wings Suckza!! Suckza!! ??

The last two games have been pretty wild and crazy. I guess that’s what we get with all of the young players.

If you like roller coasters this season is going to be made to order for you. Enjoy the highs like tonight and develop short term memory loss for the lows. Then when the season is over you can rate the ride.

Little Caesar’s Arena…..what a stupid name.

Yeah, but it’s no different than every other arena/stadium named after a corporation, and at least there’s a direct connection between the corporate name and the team (unlike Pepsi Center, for example). And it could be worse: Louisville basketball plays in the “KFC Yum! Center.” I don’t know how any sportscasters say that with a straight face.

But I did think “Joe Louis Arena” was a great name, one of the last remaining from back in the day when we named buildings and public spaces after local heroes rather than mega-companies.

My question is, Detroit paid for one arena, did they get a second arena for free?
