Those guys in the photo don’t look like they are concerned about it. But the players? I’m guessing “work stoppage” is a common theme.

So, as the NHL just announced a “record” salary cap increase for 2018-2019 to $78 to $82 million per team, declaring boom times ($4.54B in revenues with 8% growth according to CBC sports) and announcing the go ahead for another expansion team to test the waters in Seattle… The NHL owners are holding up to 14 percent of the players money in escrow so that they may make interest on the players principal or worse, due to a poor exchange rate in 2015-16? Yeah, if I’m a player I’m looking to prepare for a strike.
