I think Dano punted AD’s dog. Baxter!

If mark Dano could play, he’d still be on the jets

Damn cynical much

How about an F for Bednar for:
Pulling the goalie so soon,
Not contesting Z’s penalty.

I don’t think you can challenge a high stick.

Disagree with the Barbs. He continually goes down to block passes or shots and ends up with his back to the play.

I don’t mind you being critical AD. But in my opinion ( and I feel you’d disagree with me on this) it was their 3 game in 4 four nights, and 7 in 12. They’re allowed to be tired and have a bad game. Ultimately, in my mind, they were tired and still almost came through and won this game. And… it’s game 12. Lots more to go.

In other grades, I’ll give an F to the power play units and an F to Tampa Bay for their loss to Arizona. I can’t be too hard on the team after the emotional win against the Sens and the back to back with no rest.

MacK did not have the puck much off the rush and the last 4 games, teams are really playing him tighter at the point of him receiving a puck. Same for the #1 PP from the long drop back to him and the way defensive zone coverage is shutting down the top umbrella passing. Bennett is going to have to come up with new configurations—-this one is a little stale (you don’t scrap it but needs some other looks to go with it). It’s all about adjustments, boys!

I was actually expecting a worse performance from the Avs considering their recent schedule, travel, and emotional win on Friday. So last night was encouraging in to me in that way. That said, it feels like just a little more from them and they would have had an easy win. If you think about it, this is a much better place to be in than what we’ve had for the last 15 years.

If you can Dater go back and watch the Staal goal. I’m not sure if it’s a double deflection however at the very least you can see that the puck hits Girard’s glove causing the puck to take a sharp turn downwards or else Varly would have had it.

Yeah, I know it was deflected, and stuff happens. I just think it’s true that, if you’re going to beat Varly, the blocker side is the way to do it.

GG’s point is that it wasn’t a floater that beat him at a weakness, it was a deflected puck through a screen. You’re barking up the wrong tree with the ‘blocker’ stuff. I’d rather you just make the same tired “can’t make big saves when game on the line” BS we read on the message boards.

But beat-on-the-blocker-side stays true to the narrative

I don’t like the “tired” excuse. They train all year long for these 82 games, they travel first class with no disruptions. They got more than eight hours sleep. Need a better excuse than “tired”.

With regard to Dano and other 2-4 line players we keep bringing in–you can’t keep putting mud in a mixer and hope to make chocolate chip cookies. I guess that it is with a try when you have nothing else.

Bednar D-
Why would he pull the goalie and expect the worst face off team in the league to actually win a face off. At least park Barrie on the far blue line to block that long shot, then start a rush. Can they put a player back there AD?
