I think another important point on the Nichushkin goal was the location of Landeskog’s shot: right into the pads. His two linemates were going to the net and the worst thing he could do is try to pick a corner and shoot high or wide. Instead he goes low and forces a rebound that hopefully Val or Nelson can pick up.
