These palyer grades are literally my favorite thing to read after a game. Fantastic stuff.

Q: If Rantanen keeps up this kind of heavy pace and ends the year by topping 100…whats his contract have to look like?? 10 X 8???

Aj, if you had seen when Dano passed it directly to Kamenev who had one foot off the ice and caused a too many men penalty, his grade and your comment about him would be different.

I was actually watching that change and missed the puck portion of it entirely so I’ll defer to you on that.

Glad you’re digging them! If Rantanen drops a 100 point season on the NHL, he’s gotta ask for McDavid money. He just has to. That’s insane to think about but it’s where he is right now.

Think you were tough on Grubi…..no chance on both Duchene goals imo and left alone on the first

I thought Z’s big hit in the corner on Paajarvi was the when the Avs started to pick up some energy and got the crowd started some. You’ve said he’s at his best when he’s playing a physical game. Another plus to big Z’s night.

If one grade comment sums up the personality AJ throws into these it is this one: Carl Soderberg (B) – It was a rough start for Soderberg in that he kept missing great scoring chances. Then he banked a puck off Anderson and into the net and it’s all giggles from there. #giggles

Johnson looked a little pissed in the first and part of the second, as it appeared he was trying to jumpstart the team offensively.

I thought that this was easily the best game of the year for Barrie. He finally moved at the same fast pace as the team and controlled the puck well. I still would question the A grade, but will defer to your intelligence and charm. The Wild game should be wild with a tired and possibly emotionally drained Avalanche team. Gut check time.

Yeah, these reviews are great. It’s the first thing i read the morning after the game.
