The PK seems to be where Val’s absence was most noticeable. He’s so disruptive on zone entries and cross-ice passes. Maybe they’ll give Bardakov a chance to play that role? I know the coaching staff isn’t fond of rookies but maybe.

One quick note on the Sabres. I believe it was Power who got torched on both the Necas and Brindley wide open looks. Byram is so much more noticeable than him with Dahlin out. He’s the first one they should be looking to offload at the deadline
