Rants would benefit from a line change. Maybe Jost? More than likely Sven.

The Harry Potter reference puts this edition of the player grades into a whole new stratosphere.

I get the impression Rants is hurt.

Scary how many faceoffs the Avs lost… then they’d ice the puck, only for another face off they’d lose, letting the Preds set up dangerous situations… over and over again…
That’s gotta get fixed.

I had the same thought on Rantanen. It reminded me of Hejda in the ’14 playoffs. Maybe a hand or wrist injury because he is just not shooting or handling the puck effectively.

Duncan Siemens’ stick interfered with Bernier’s blocker on the 3rd goal. If not for that, he would’ve gotten the blocker on it. He didn’t have a chance on that one either. Great game though!

Nemeth is a warrior! Maybe one that’s not very skilled hockey wise but a warrior still. He has an eye for defensive play and gives his all to protect the net. That’s not the stuff that you’ll nescessary remember after games. He has such issues playing forward that those tend to stick in minds of people better. A stay home defenseman by the very definition of it.

No mention on Warofsky’s terrible pinch that lead to goal? Drops him down to a D for me.

Just watched the game again. Rantanen D? Are you serious? Rantanen had a solid game. Sure he could shoot more but D is hilarious. I mean Landy and Mac fumbeled lot more pucks on powerplay than Rantanen. Two good assists and defensive work was solid. Come on!

It seems that Rants and Barrie do not adjust well to rough play with a lot of hits. I thought that Barrie was tentative on the many PP situations. Rants was similar. Just an observation.
