What do you think of Bednar maybe easing back time on the third line and giving some of that to the fourth? Comphs is clearly feeling it right now, but he’s got good chemistry with Sven10 and Kam, who have also played well. You notice this is not me complaining about ice time (AGAIN :P) because it’s how most coaches run their lines. Vlad’s also been our second-best forward on faceoffs, after Landeskog (who’s been REALLY good and beat Crosby a time or two tonight), so I’d like to see him pick up some of those defensive zone faceoffs.

Apart from that, I’d have given EJ the A+ because he was silly good, but no complaints here.

I think if the fourth line remains as constructed, it will definitely chew into the ice time of the other lines except the top line. I think if they can get to about 12 minutes per night, they’ll be one of the most dangerous and effective fourth lines in the league.

AJ how do you feel about Mack and Mikko’s play in our zone? Obviously you can’t argue with their production, but they seem to get sloppy with the puck if they don’t see a clear path out.

They are far too casual with the puck for my liking. The good news is they just don’t spend a lot of time in that zone.

I thought Calvert had a solid B night. He played hard and was all over the forecheck.

Kerfoot played well against Crosby.

100 assists for Rantanen would be incredible, but for that to happen, Mack will need 50+ goals, Landy will need 40+, and Rantanen will need to assist on some D goals.

He can do it, but a lot of things need to line up perfectly for it to happen. Right now, things are lining up perfectly.

If he could score a little on breakaway like Byron or Grabner, it s totaly different perception on him… He create but never finish??

He means Calvert. I like Comeau or Nieto or definitely Greer more than Calvert. Why are they not developing AJ Greer or Nich Meloche at least a little in the NHL? Give them some games when the Eagles are on break of course. Why do we need Bourque and Dano and Calvert?

Great way to comeback from blowing a late 2nd period three goal lead.

Have to give some credit to Coach Bednar for Benching Big Z.
Big Z has been a animal out there since the benching.

I still think the Avs need to tinker with their lineup.
Move JT to 2nd Line, Wilson to 3rd Line and Calvert to 4th line.

Also big shoutout to BSN Denver. The Avs coverage hasn’t ever been this good. Most American Hockey teams do not get the coverage that most Canadian teams get but this site breaking the mold on that.
Outstanding Job.

Nemeth once again he was terrible tonight. Sakic hopefully by the deadline will make some adjustments to shore up the third pairing?

He should not have to with Makar joining the team after he finishes his season at UMass.
