Barrie lost his stick way too easily on a play there were 3 Avs below the red line. He can’t be making any excuses, and if he did have only one hand on the stick, as he said the ref told him, then the ref is right, and there’s just no reason why Barrie should complain. He lost his stick easily, was leveraged off the puck by Svechnikov, which led to the counter goal.

Yet another example of why Barrie should be moved this summer…

If Brassard is going to play on top line he has to produce. He showed he is solid 3rd C. Not sure he showing he is worth keeping beyond end of year.

I think Girard is showing good process and improving. With Landry our the Avs are a long shot so they turn G loose in all 3 zones. Let him learn from some mistakes.

I think this lineup needs Graves. Maybe go 7 D and sit Borque.

Someone better than Colin Wilson scores one or two goals tonight with the chance he had. It wasn’t all the goaltender. I want the Avs to make the playoffs so I get another week of hockey, but I am not at all convinced they are worthy. I sure hope this long term plan is a good one because I am not getting any younger.

My sentiments exactly. Also, great grades AJ!

Wilson‘s missed opportunities are super frustrating. But as the grades suggest, it’s still better than not producing chances at all. Kerfoot, Compher, Jost need to get to another level of compete and focus fast. They easily match Soderberg‘s potential, but still lack so much desperately needed consistency!

I’ll dock Brassard a full letter grade for loafing it back on the empty netter when he could’ve easily prevented the goal. Avs are clinging to life and you can’t give any effort in that situation? This team already had enough players who are too good to hustle.
