I’m sure it was coincidence but man did it feel like this team was not happy that Dutchy scored to take a lead. Either way, happy with the result.

The title of this article had me laughing out loud. Well played.

When is the Nichushkin experiment going to end? There are better players in Loveland.

Maybe if he finally scores a goal he will get the monkey off his back. I would give him a little more time.

Last night was great! A little healing salve for a bad week. Like you guys said in the pod yesterday, injuries to the top line will expose any team in the league. It has put pressure on all of the guys Sakic rolled the dice on to show their potential. There is still hope for that. The Avs had chemistry going when everyone was healthy, but that got blown up with the injuries and now a bunch of guys who have ONLY played 16 NHL games together have to find a new chemistry, hopefully that started last night. Bottom line, I am not surprised that it was a bad week, if and when they get healthy, the silver lining in this string of injuries may be a new found chemistry and trust in each other as a group. When that happens and if they are all healthy, like you guys said yesterday, watch out NHL. Lets hope they keep it going Saturday with good simple had working hockey.

I like Calvert playing on Mack’s line. Calvy works really hard and makes things happen no matter where he is, and seems to provide better chemistry, and he feeds more opportunities for Mack than the others.

It would be also interesting at some point to try Belmar on Mack’s line. Those guys seem to provide the equivalent hard working grit in front of the net that Landy provides. They handle rebounds nicely, feed nice passes from behind the net. If they could deflect pucks well then we’d have a nice substitute Landy.

Then again Bednar could try Calvert/Belmar Mack Burky line… I know he tried Burky before but maybe he could again with Calvert/Belmar…

Who can they call up from the Eagles for defense? Looks like someone will be needed.
