Man… the whole team looked scrambly and reactive tonight šŸ™

What’s going on with these guys on the road, Adrian? You’re at the games… sometimes the television doesn’t show all. Do you think the ā€œmile high advantageā€ has something to do with home games being easier on us? In that case, though, I’d think we would have better wheels on the road when getting closer to sea level haha. It’s just so Jekyll and Hyde for the home and away.

Good question. I think they just lack that last bit of confidence and swagger that you need to win consistently on the road. You either have it or you don’t, and the Avs don’t quite have it yet.

That’s fair. Maybe it’s a locker room/chemistry/maturity thing. I hope this adversity is building character. Overall, by grabbing points in 6 straight and overcoming some deficits to force overtime against some tough teams shows a growing resiliency that gives me some hope, for sure.

Back to work on the basics. Puck handling, passing, being able to hit what you shoot at, puck awareness on D. Just the little things.

either way you slice it – the boys were down by 2 going into the 3rd, and grabbed a point.
Sure they probably didn’t deserve to have anything tonight – but they’re still finding ways to keep that foot on the gas in the overall race.

I don’t mind the Jost / Landy swap – and we probably cant realistically expect any immediate results from that. Be curious to see if Bednar sticks with this on Saturday / going forward.

Go Washington (tonight)

Go Avs
