You know who’s been really solid in the faceoff circle? Landeskog. I wonder how much longer Bednar will wait before he just gives faceoff duty to Landy in high-leverage situations; I like Nate PLAYING down the middle, but Gabe is better at the dot.

Landeskog plays F3 in the defensive zone anyway most of the time whereas MacKinnon slides over into Landeskog’s wing. Landy is decent in the FO circle. Who takes them is based entirely on handedness and side of the ice of the FO. Not sure he’ll ever go away from that unless someone develops into a truly great FO man.

Great job!

Curious who Bednar puts in net Friday against the Blackhawks? Grubi definitely deserve in my opinion another chance based on his performance tonight.

Apropros? Is that a Greek word? JK. But, I seriously agree w/ your grade for Sven 10. If there ever was a guy that the size critics could point to on this team it’s that guy. He has none of the skill or elusiveness that Little G has, but often looks as if a fan could knock him off the puck by slapping the glass too hard… (Let alone bearded and embarrassed penalty box killer guy). Also, don’t look now, but it looks like Matt Nieto has been working with the skills coach. Neither of his two golden chances went in but those pucks were well placed, with one intentionally shot at the new to 2018 “seven hole” soft spot and the other a back hand up and over the pad and a few inches inside the post. Bednar rightfully talked him up after the game. I think he gets within 2 of last years total before this is said and done which would be pretty solid for a 3rd liner.
