After the way the first half unfolded with the constant shuttle of forwards from Loveland it’s nice to think that they have 2 legit NHL forwards in the press box on any given night. Even if Wood struggles a bit we know he’s capable of beating a slow defensive change up the ice and doing damage and you never have to question his effort.

AuthorHis discipline has been bad enough that I might prefer a low-event, low-upside guy like Ivan Ivan over the version of Wood that we’ve seen. He makes a lot of mistakes defensively, has provided almost no offense this season, and is a bit too penalty prone. It’s a weird spot to be in with him. Definitely nice that he isn’t a mainstay in the lineup without injury
