Well done, as always Jesse. I, too, couldn’t believe the Blues fans were into a “Let’s go Blues” chant while Sammy was motionless. A reflection of the St. Louis culture to some degree.

Well their coach isn’t a class a class act either. Completely disregarding the contribution of a Blues player to Bennington’s injury and then making a snide remark about Kadri’s character.

Thanks Jesse. Think your take on the hit on G is correct. The one thing I would bring up though is it reminds me of Landy’s hit on Kirby Dach in the regular season where Dach was near the boards and playing the puck from his knees. Landy swooped in and checked him to separate him from the puck. It was deemed a “dangerous play” and Landy got a 2 game suspension. It’s not exactly the same, obviously Dach was on his knees (but still possessed the puck), but G was low with his head at board height. Just wonder what you guys think of the comparison. And of course the Avs seemingly always on the wrong end of this stuff with the league.

I’m with you regarding the hit on S. Girard. The replays I saw looked like I. Barabshev turn his one shoulder so that the impact maximized the force of the hit. It may have been “legal” but is appeared the intent was to do as much harm as possible. It remined me of a football safety targeting a receiver. Instead of his head, Barabshev launched with his shoulder.
