Dumb penalty by Big Z. You just can’t go at someone in that position but did anyone else think Perron flailed himself into the boards as soon as he felt Z’s stick touch his back? I think the Refs kind of saw it that way, hence just a 2-minute trip to the sin bin.

I think it was Maroon, who’s an even bigger boy.

I love how hard Wilson and Kerfoot are playing right now. Same with Andrighetto. The way that first period went if you told me we would get a point tonight I would have laughed.

I think rolling Z out in OT takes major stones. But Z was up to it, and it was fun to watch. So kudos to Bednar.
If Bednar would’ve swung for the fences and given Z the third shootout slot too, I would have lost my freakin mind…too much fun.

Does anyone have that footage of that Zadorov hit in the third period? Not the one of him hitting maroon, but I think it was David Perron.

Agree w/grades 100%…Barrie, EJ, and Sam stunk which makes Gruby’s job so much harder…let’s not kid ourselves that the only reason this team is back in contention is Gruby…imagine this team w/better defensive play in front of him

Gabriel Landeskog has become everything he was touted to be since being Captain of the Kitchener Rangers. He is physically strong, excellent in all 3 zones, has the nasty in him when required, can score and is a leader. The man is a complete hockey player. Oh and great hair! (said the bald guy)

There’s been complaining about Ghetto getting the nod in the SO, but he came closer than Mac or Landy. I’ve always wished they’d put Z in during the OT’s.

AJ,

I completely agree with the F given to Barrie. He was absolutely terrible in front of Grubi last night. He was completely out muscled and/or out of position for two goals allowed allowing grade A scoring chances. He has to be better but at this point in the season it would be a pipe-dream to see his D improve to at least marginal.

Question? I have noticed a dip in the play of Girard. Would you attribute this to the decline in Johnson’s play? Johnson looks slow, out muscled and poor judgment when attempting to clear the defensive zone. His play has adversely impacted the play of Girard.
