It does seem like Gerard and his $5 mil cap hit are the likeliest to move out. Vegas and Florida have shifted the playoff game enough to make him essentially obsolete in a championship run. The guy who pairs with Malinski has to be able to win net front battles. I guess it all comes down to which GM of a bubble team blinks first.

We all just spent the last week watching the two consensus best centers in the league play on a line together and get their asses handed to them at the face off dot. I know it shouldn’t be a priority but I’d sure love to get one more center who can be counted on to win some draws.

I honestly think that if CMac can get a center and a left D, combined with the chip our Canadian Olympians will have on their shoulders, then the world will have to watch Landy hand the Cup to Burns and the Canadian press will still find a way to give the Conn Smythe to McDavid
