The Avs need to find their MoJo otherwise they are going to lose their playoff chances playing like they have of late.

I think the line combos cost them, getting cute for no reason and getting bit by lines not meshing when someone makes a play, I think they could have been in a better position to win, then again my opinion means doo doo so ????

Jost definitely has low confidence, you can see it from the rafters. Not to mention stopped skating on the first goal that he could have easily broken up otherwise. He needs to go put up big points in the AHL and get his swagger back / develop more physically.

I’m not high on Jost. I just don’t see the killer instinct that you see in other players. It’s one thing to say he’s young, but there hasn’t been any significant improvement to his game. He has 2 or 3 good games, and he disappears for 10 or 11.

He should have spent one more year in the NCAA or spent a season in the AHL. Hard for me to imagine him bouncing back and compete with real NHLers consistently.

It reminds me of the games in Chicago when the Blackhawks would shoot 50 shots and lose to the Avs 1 – 0. How many posts did we hit last night, four? Hope Colorado can turn it around.

Honestly this is what it must have felt like for Chicago playing the Avs in recent years. The better team dominates possession and can get shots toward the goal at any moment, but just can’t get it through the pack of bodies in front of the net. The Avs stole quite a few from the Blackhawks this decade that way – the script was flipped last night. :/

Let’s not make it a habit.

What this team lacks is that guy on the top 6 that just apologetically shoots the puck and blasts opponents (ala a Claude lemieux type). AD you hit the nail on the head with the article title. The Avs were so clearly the better team and MacK was even more so the best player on the ice, but sometimes you just have to take the game over yourself and shoot, shoot, and shoot some more.
