I don’t think you can ask for more from a goalie that flew in the same day and hasn’t played since January. He did the best he could and we definitely needed some more offense. Ugh.

The Burgler was definitely great. Let in one easy goal which was totally expected but other than that he was perfect in these circumstances.

Seems like the power play needs to diversify its entries some. Philly seemed to know that after MacKinnon enters just pinch back on the point because the pass is going to get dropped to Barrie. Power play was just awful tonight. Also agree that Rantanen looked like his rookie year when he spent most of his time trying to get up from the ice. This was a game I thought we would win. It’s not looking great.

Not the Hamburglers fault they can’t score. Aside from the absolutely justifiably rusty 1st he was perfect right? He looks quite as legit as Varly or Bernie if you give him a mulligan for the 1st.

the power play is getting waaaaaaaay too cute right now. 14 passes no shots? C’mon man. Move your feet and try a couple bad angle shots. The rebounds given up all night would have made it interesting….though they would have missed based on how the night went. It seems like they are passing up a good shot and trying to create a GREAT shot and that’s just not working. MacKinnon looking too much like Kerfoot in refusing to shoot. It’s frustrating to come this far and have mistakes like this.
