I guess I understand Trocheck saying he doesn’t want to move to the west coast but a 32 yr old without a Cup who doesn’t want to come to Denver doesn’t really compute for me.
The Jenner injury history scares me off of him.
I have friends who are Ducks fans so I’ve watched them often this year. They were underwhelmed with Poeling as the main return in the Zegras trade but they like his game and he’s fit well there. I think Verbeek would be asking a sky high price for him.
I could see this being Bleuger or Haula just to shore up the center position but with half retained it’s hard to pass on Kadri at least looking at this season and next.

AuthorTo be honest, Poehling made the list because I love him and that’s about it. There are only so many random center names I could sift through where I shrugged my shoulders. There’s no way that guy actually moves.
It is interesting how Trocheck has made it so clear he doesn’t want to leave the East, but I wonder if it’s more about being on the West coast. Where does this invisible line in the country stop? This is my own curiosity because I always find it so interesting how people prioritize those decisions.
The big thing with Calgary is their management doesn’t want to eat the money on Kadri retention. They don’t want to pay for a player to not play for them for the next 3.5 years. And Kadri at the full $7M is not a good option

Calgary can pay Kadri $3.5 mil for 3 1/2 years or they can pay him $7 mil for 3 1/2 years. Nobody is taking him full salary.
