Avalanche Storytime: September, 2001

It’s not a happy story, but one that happened nonetheless: the Avs were in Sweden during the week of Sept. 11, 2001, for a training camp and exhibition game series – none of which went according to plan.

Another thing that happened that week: Peter Forsberg took a sabbatical from the team because of a bad foot.
