Any time there is significant CU Buffs news, we here at BSNDenver will be compiling the top stories, so when you get home from work and unwind before dinner, you’ll know where to go to see the day’s Buff bits.

Solder played all of 2014 after being diagnosed with testicular cancer

The morning started off with a bit of scary news for the Buffs community, but thankfully, the scare is in the past.

As originally reported by ESPN-Boston, former CU All-Conference offensive lineman, Nate Solder was diagnosed with testicular cancer in April of 2014.

Luckily for Nate, they discovered it early enough that the cancer was restricted to one testicle, doctors were able to remove the testicle and the cancer along with it.

Nate was lucky enough to get an early diagnosis, but realized some are not as lucky. This being  National Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, Nate is sharing his story as a reminder to all men to administer self-checks and keep up with physicals.

 Jimmy Smith Gets Paid

In another NFL Buffs story, former CU star corner, Jimmy Smith is getting seriously paid.

The Ravens were able to lock up Smith before going into the final year of his rookie contract, but not for cheap. The deal is reportedly worth 48 million over 4 years, with 21 million of that guaranteed.

This makes the 26-year old a top-6 corner in the league in terms of pay.

Transformation Tuesday

The Colorado Football account @RunRalphieRun, has really been stepping up their twitter game lately. Every weekday has a specific hashtag and feature that the account will be tweeting out every week.

Today being tuesday, the Buffs are doing their own twist on the social media trend #TransformationTuesday, and I promise its better than that girl you went to high school with who is now a “Fitness Model” #FitLyfe #HealthyEating #NoDaysOff.

Each Tuesday the account will be sending out a picture of the transformation that the new facilities are undergoing.

Keep an eye out for the other weekly posts from their account:

Monday: #CUSoon – Find out where CU’s coaches are out recruiting.

Wednesday: #WisdomWednesday – A motivational quote (maybe you can pass it on to that fitness model?)

Thursday: Of course #ThrowbackThursday – An old picture of a coach or player.

Friday: #DestinationFriday – This one is certainly for the recruits, Friday’s will show sights and scenes around the Boulder area.
