The Denver Broncos will be without all-star cornerback Aqib Talib for their 2:25 p.m. MT start when they host division rival Kansas City.

Talib went to break up a skirmish between teammate Von Miller and Colts tight end Dwayne Allen, when Talib poked Allen in the right eye late in the fourth quarter. Denver was losing 24-27 when the personal foul penalty was called, giving Indianapolis a fresh set of downs; cementing a Colts victory. Denver is now 7-1 on the season.

”From my angle, I see Allen head-butt Von (Miller) a little bit,” Talib said after the loss. “I went over to poke his head, and I think my hand slipped and hit his face. He acted like he got in an 18-passenger car wreck. I guess that’s what type of guy he is.”

Talib appealed the NFL’s decision and the shield was quick to respond. NFL appeals officer, Derek Brooks, upheld the decision and Talib was suspended without pay the home contest against the Chiefs.

Talib will lose $280,000.00 for the Three Stooges impression and is banned from all team activities, a punishment good until Monday, November 16th.

“They’re entitled to discipline me. I deserve discipline,” Talib told the media Monday, after hearing the decision had been upheld. “It was not intentional. I should have never went over there in the first place. … My emotions got the best of me. I was a little heated. … That’s what I regret.”

Denver was out of sync from the first whistle, allowing 11 more first downs and letting Indy control the ball for 17 more minutes; both season lows for the orange and blue.

Quarterback Peyton Manning was left short of his goal of setting the NFL all-time passing yards held by NFL Legend Brett Favre by three yards. Three. Total. Yards. Manning was also left tied for all- time wins with Favre, at 186.

With the way the Denver Defense has played all season (not counting Sunday,) the orange and blue should be okay at home against the Chiefs. Manning will set the record for passing yards this Sunday against Kansas City, but Talib will not be there is see it in person.
