Antwan Scott hasn’t had much of a chance to perform for the Colorado State Rams men’s basketball team, but that may all change soon.
Scott, who transferred to CSU before the 2014-15 season, played only 33 minutes in the season due to a foot injury which forced him to sit for basically the entire year. On Monday, he was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA and will be able to compete in 2015-16.
Colorado State released a video on Monday showing Scott announcing to his teammates he will be able to play with them this year. It’s heartwarming; take a look.
Scott is a 6-foot-2 178-pound point guard who played two years at Ranger College, leading them to a conference championship and then to the NJCAA Region V quarterfinals. He then transferred Idaho and then to Grambling State, completed his undergraduate degree and is currently a graduate student at Colorado State.
The Rams have yet to announce when their season starts but Scott should get some run either at the two-guard position or by backing up John Gillon at the point.
