Grim news from the Avs not long ago:

Tyson Jost has a head injury and is out. For how long will he be out? Nobody knows right now. The Avs didn’t use the word “concussion”, but you have to suspect that’s what it is.

If it’s a concussion, Jost would become the third key young Avs player or prospect to be sidelined from one. J.T. Compher and Conor Timmins are the others.

The Avs did not recall anyone from the Eagles to take a spot vacated by Jost. The Avs play the Wild Saturday night, and not again until Thursday. They’ll get through the game tonight and reassess when they get back to Denver.

I haven’t seen how Jost got hurt yet, but he missed the third period. If anyone has a GIF of where he might have gotten hurt, feel free to post it in the comments.

I imagine that Vladislav Kamenev will remain a center on a depth line and that Jost will be replaced by an Eagle such as A.J. Greer, who is off to a strong start.

But we’ll see. Let’s hope this isn’t a serious concussion. I don’t know if there is a “minor” concussion, but you know what I mean.
