Former Nuggets point guard Andre Miller isn’t playing much these days and finds himself sitting out, watching games from the end of the bench.

The Wizards Guard opened up to the Washington Post about his final days in Denver and how it differs from his current circumstances.

“I think the Denver situation, it was just unprofessional, really, on their part,” Miller said. “I think a lot of people take me as a quiet guy being nice and you can just say whatever and do whatever and me not respond. All I did was be a veteran and speak up for my teammates in Denver. I didn’t challenge the coach. I just said we needed better communication. I was doing my job over there. Top-five bench in the league and there was no reason DNP-ing me without at least communicating it to me. Pull me to the side as a veteran, respectfully. You’re a coach in this league, you played in this league. Pull me to the side, ‘Hey Andre, this is how we feel. We’re going to try something different.’

“In this case, it’s totally different. I knew the situation I was coming into. I’ve never complained about minutes here. It’s just all about my role on this team, which I understand, playing behind a franchise player. I come in, I give him a rest, and whenever my coach wants me to go in, I go in. I go in for four minutes in the second quarter, four minutes in the fourth. Sometimes I don’t go in the four. So it’s limited but what I try to do is when I go to practice, I try to get my work in at practice.”

Seems to be a lot of blame on the Nuggets here as if Miller did nothing wrong. With the communication issues and disconnect between the coaches and players for the current Nuggets roster, it’s hard to argue with Dre.
