FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Things are brewing for Colorado State men’s basketball.
The Rams coaches have been hot on the recruiting trail of late and according to my sources, CSU is in the mix for multiple skilled recruits.
After hosting a few players on official visits last weekend, including Jacob Jennissen and Isaiah Rivera, CSU picked up a verbal commitment from Rivera earlier in the week.
The Rams are also expected to land another verbal commitment soon. Look for the announcement as soon as Thursday afternoon — I don’t want to spoil his opportunity to announce on his own terms, though.

With that in mind, here are the prep players that CSU fans should keep an eye on moving forward.
Dominique Clifford
CSU is currently in the mix for Dominique Clifford, a 6-foot-5, 170-pound, shooting guard out of the Vanguard School in Colorado Springs. Clifford has an extensive list of offers but my sources say the three schools that he is most interested in are CU, CSU and Wyoming.
As a junior, Clifford averaged 18.9 points and 11.3 rebounds per game for a team that won 24 games. But what makes him so appealing as a recruit is his versatility. Clifford is a skilled scorer, can pass the ball like a point guard and his length comes in handy both on the defensive side and on the glass.
Paired with a young core that already includes four freshmen and two sophomores on the roster, the Rams would be set for years to come if they added a player like Clifford into the fold.
Keshawn Williams
Similarly to Clifford, Keshawn Williams is a versatile combo guard that can do it all. Listed at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, Williams doesn’t have the height that Clifford does but he’s explosive and plays aggressive defense.
Williams visited CSU in August but has 13 total offers according to 247Sports. According to my sources, CSU is in a good position to sign Williams, depending on how the roster fills out.
The Rams have increased their presence in the midwest significantly since Medved took the job. Will Williams be the second player from Illinois to commit to the 2020 class?
Jacob Jennissen
The staff offered Jacob Jennissen over the summer but the 6-foot-11 center out of Minnesota didn’t take his official visit until recently.
With Nico Carvacho entering his senior season, adding someone like Jennissen would make sense.
Although he still needs to fill out, Jennissen’s upside is extremely appealing. He has phenomenal footwork and his touch in the paint is impressive for someone of his age.
Considering CSU has a plethora of young talent in the backcourt, bringing in a player like Jennissen would really set the roster up nicely for a few years.
