Do you think Behrens and a 1st would even be enough for Lindholm? I just remembering a couple years ago when Florida gave up Tippet and a 2024 1st for Giroux.

IIRC, the price was high for Giroux because (like this year) he seemed like one of the only reliable forwards on the market. I would argue that the 29 year-old Lindolm is probably better than 34 year-old Giroux, and Tippet was probably a more highly coveted prospect than either Gulyayev or Behrens.

(That might just be hindsight bias from me since he was a 10th overall pick and has put in some good play the last couple seasons).

AJ, thanks for the run down. So in other words, the odds are not in the Avs favor of solving this, unless, CMac really pulls a rabbit out of the hat. Maybe Jon Luc Foudy gets healthy and makes the move to a center spot. That is probably wishful, but at least he can skate…..
