Kylan Bobo committed to the Colorado football team on Wednesday, adding to the Buffs‘ impressive 2027 recruiting class.

The three-star running back chose Colorado over Arkansas, Memphis and others after a breakout junior season. Bobo rushed for 1,726 (8.8 YPC) and 28 TDs at Tupelo (Mississippi) High School in 2025.

His combination of speed and vision makes him a great fit for Brennan Marion’s Go-Go offense.

“Smooth, instinctive runner with the vision to find yardage,” 247Sports’ director of scouting Andrew Ivins said of Kylan Bobo. “Already carrying good mass on a frame that has been verified right around 5-foot-11, 200 pounds.”

Bobo took an official visit to Colorado during the weekend of June 12 before visiting Memphis (June 19). It was the Buffs who won over the top-25 recruit in Mississippi, a state Deion Sanders and his staff have targeted heavily this offseason.

Kylan Bobo is Colorado’s third 2027 commit from the state of Mississippi, joining Coderro McDaniel (Brookhaven) and Li’Marcus Jones (transferred from Jackson Callaway to Brentwood Academy in TN before senior year). Colorado offensive line coach Gunnar White (Terry, MS native) is a big reason why the Buffs have a presence in the state.

Colorado has now added a pair of offensive playmakers in the last week. Just five days before Kylan Bobo became a Buff, three-star WR Ryan Ferdinand committed to Colorado. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder chose the Buffs over Cincinnati after totaling 755 yards and seven TDs as a junior at Palm Beach Lakes (FL) High School.

Also last week, Colorado landed a pair of 2027 linebackers from the state of Ohio.

Kaylon Bailey chose the Buffs over his hometown Ohio State Buckeyes and Jahmiere Daniels-Portis chose Colorado over the reigning national champion Indiana Hoosiers. Bailey racked up 15 sacks and 27 TFLs at Glenville HS while Daniels-Portis totaled 88 tackles at Springfield HS last season.

The Buffs’ 2027 recruiting class is up to 19 commits and ranks fourth in the Big 12. With plenty of uncommitted targets still out there, Colorado appears poised to have its biggest high school recruiting haul of the Coach Prime era.

Four-star OL Dewey Young is another blue-chip recruit who the Buffs are in the lead for. The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder will announce his decision on July 6 between Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.
