As the Denver Broncos, Sean Payton and George Paton mull over whether or not to move on from Russell Wilson, they must also decide if he’s a better option than all of the other quarterbacks they could add in the offseason.

If the team decides to move on from Wilson, their options in free agency will be limited due to the dead cap of Russ’ contract.

But the options might not be limited in the draft. In fact, there is buzz that Payton and the Broncos might be willing to trade up in the draft to land their QB of the future. Is there any truth to that?

Could that include USC’s Caleb Williams, LSU’s Jayden Daniels or UNC’s Drake Maye? Or could it mean staying at 12 and drafting Oregon’s Bo Nix, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. or Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy?

Denver also could turn to free agency, which includes names like Minnesota Vikings’ QB Kirk Cousins, San Francisco 49ers’ QB Sam Darnold, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ QB Baker Mayfield or New Orleans Saints’ QB Jameis Winston.
