Hi guys,

I have been out of the comment section since the Broncos loss to Washington in Week 2. That was so demoralizing. I unfollowed a bunch of stuff because it was so agonizing. When the Broncos are playing poorly then the topics of the pods are, ‘Who is to blame for why the Broncos are so horrible?’ I couldn’t take it! I never stopped watching on Sundays. I slowly started following and listening again as things turned around.

Overall, they really turned the season around. I was able to attend 4 home games: New York Jets, Kansas City, Minnesota, and Los Angeles Chargers. So I went 3-1. It was great. On the whole, so much better than the last several seasons. I believe in Sean Payton. I no longer believe in Russell Wilson. I took a lot of crap from friends who are Seahawks fans about who Russell Wilson is. I thought they were ungrateful a-holes. Now I can see that what they were saying is exactly true! The results don’t match his Mr. Unlimited Alter-Ego.

Final thought: Your podcast is better than ever. It has always been great, but the addition of Todd Davis has taken it to the next level. Todd is a true insider with both credibility and humility. On top of that, I think that Hank is underrated. I find myself agreeing often with takes that Hank is getting crap for. Zac is the captain of the ship, with you dude we would be adrift. And even Jahir deserves a shoutout for making the pod awesome. Jahir represents the audience and chimes in with the questions and answers that we are all thinking.

I am looking forward to an awesome first-half of the offseason.

Whats up guys! I have a few thoughts on what Denver should do with the draft. I really see no reason to cut Russ. If we are going to pay him, might as well pay him to play and I think that a second year and full offseason in the SP system may make him more comfortable. So, I think we should keep Russ and with the 12th overall pick we draft my guy Brock Bowers. Now, of course, I am a little biased here as a Georgia fan, but I have watched Brock dominate the SEC the last three years doing everything as a TE and I think he would be perfect for Sean Payton’s system. He is strong, fast, and gadgety enough to put in some Taysom Hill roles while also just being a damn good dominant player. If he is there I think we should take him as he can be a huge playmaker on offense.

I’ve also seen a lot of discussion about Penix’s stock potentially falling. Before the CFP most mocks had him going in the second round. So if he does fall, what do yall think about Brock at 12 and then pulling a Ravens and trading back up to 32 to get Penix? That gives Denver the 5th year option plus I think that Penix would benefit from having a year or two to sit behind a player like Russ and learn the offense. If Penix isn’t there, which is a possibility, I think we should draft either Pratt or Jordan Travis in the 3rd or 4th round. I think both could be good in the SP system and I like Jordan Travis, who will definitely need time to recover and learn after his gruesome leg injury. And if none of that ends up working out there’s always Carson Beck in the 2025 class who would already have a connection wiht our stud 12th overall pick in Bowers.

So to sum up: I think we should draft Bowers at 12 and then depending on the scenario draft either Penix at 32 or Jordan Travis / Pratt in the 3rd or 4th with the caveat that Carson Beck will be in the 2025 draft if nothing works out. We get a huge piece on offense, Russ is back, and we get the future at the QB position with time to sit and learn. What do yall think?

Also, little bit of a bonus question, what do yall think of the buzz around Von coming back to Denver next season?

Pod topic suggestion:

Would love to hear more about how keeping a staff together affects the players/locker room. I know Todd was a part of both scenarios (clean sweep, retain most or all coaches)

This is the first year in a while that it seems like all coaches/staff will return unless they get poached to other jobs. What have we heard on this front?
