Inside the Avs' Locker Room: Game 3 Glory

First off: Apologies for the sound quality on some of these. Here’s what happens when a team gets good and makes the playoffs after a four-year absence: Media that haven’t been to an Avs game in years suddenly come out of the woodwork to cover a playoff home game.

So, after a year of covering the team all by ourselves for the most part, you suddenly find yourself four-deep in the locker room, straining to get a microphone anywhere near the players. That’s just the way it goes. I went through it for years in the glory days of the Avs, and tonight there was just about every local media outlet in town in that locker room after Game 3 – after none of them darkened the Avs’ door all year.

That’s the way it goes.
