Sup guys! Timmy from Sweden here. This is not really a question and a little of topic, just something I wanted to share with you guys when we don’t really have much news to talk about haha. And also something I would like to hear from some other fans or if you, Zac and Ryan has something fun to share!
Anyway… It’s a story about how I, last offseason was very close to meeting Von Miller and it still paints on me that I didn’t meet him.
Soo… I was in Stockholm (Sweden’s capital) where my girlfriend lives while she was gone, to watch her dogs over the weekend. At the same time I got to Stockholm (friday), Von was with Drake (OBJ was also on the trip) in France on his world tour. I didn’t think of it then, but the day after Drake was having his next concert in… Stockholm.
We fast forward to Saturday and it’s like 9.30pm in Sweden and I see on Von’s snap story that he landed in Stockholm. I can say that I was excited AF haha! When do you get that opportunity in Sweden? Once in a lifetime. The problem was that I had absolutely no idea where he was in Stockholm until he was at Drakes concert but I didn’t have any tickets for that so it was a lost cause. But then I thought if I get up early on Sunday maybe I get some tips on where he could be.
I got up early and luckily he uploaded a video on snapchat of his view from his hotel room and I knew exactly which hotel it was. I now had two buses and two choices. Go out with the dogs and take the later bus or don’t go out with the dogs and have my girlfriend kill me. I chose the first option, which was so dumb. The story ends when I’m one station away (2 minutes) from the hotel and I see on Von’s snapchat story that he’s leaving the hotel and taking a cab to the airport… So that sucked pretty damn hard.
Well… that was a little story of mine, I don’t know if it was something to write here but I would love to hear some stories like this from other Broncos fans also if it’s okay of course, maybe with a happier ending than mine also haha ?
Hey Ryan and Zac,
So I thought it was refreshing that you brought in Andre Simone mid-week as sort-of a special guest. It’s a nice change to listen to that 3rd person dynamic. Let’s do that some more, shall we???
So I am looking at Denver’s opponent schedule for the 2018 regular season, and though we don’t have dates yet, we know the teams. This comes off the Bronco’s website. So I am interested in which of these teams you think the Broncos will struggle with. I think you would agree that it’s not likely they will have a perfect season, and I would venture they will be challenged within the AFC West. Some tough teams to face, but the schedule could be much tougher. So, before the draft even hits, where do you see the wins and losses???
Thanks,
Paul/Waukesha

I would love to oblige your request for more questions by tossing you guys a philosophical grenade. Hypothetically, if in the future the Broncos organization moved to another city, after the 3 solid months of both weeping and gnashing of teeth, would you continue to root for the Broncos in their new location, continue watching football without a particular team, or just completely emotionally disconnect from the NFL?
I’m sorry to make you even think of such a sad topic, but I thought it would make for good discussion considering the moving of the Rams, Chargers, and the (lol @ Jon Gruden) Raiders.

I feel dirty for asking a question that isn’t about a QB or the draft. Feels weird. Anyway, do you think the talk about CJ being expendable is perhaps part of the locker room “clean up” effort? I see how he is on social media, is he the same negative Nancy in the locker room? Also, perhaps related, which player is the least media friendly on the team? Anyone you guys care to “out”? – love the podcast. Sincerely, Burrito Brad, aka Commish of the Official BSN FF 2018 League

After a couple months of listening to you guys, I finally decided to become a full subscriber a few days ago with the playoff push promo and I’m happy I did, though I’m a little sad I missed out on the T Shirt promo. ? I’m curious which QB you guys think will be better off in the long run sitting behind Keenum for a year between Josh Rosen and Baker Mayfield, and which one you think has a better shot at winning the starting job right away a la Wilson over Flynn. I know everyone says Rosen is more pro ready but I personally feel that Baker just has that magic that could force the Broncos hand and make him the man by the time the season starts. Thanks guys and keep up the great work.

I’ve been on the fence with a QB pick at 5. I think if Case Keenum had our full confidence long term, he’d have more than a 2 year deal on the table and next year would have more on the guaranteed side of things. If we pick up, a QB, it fills up that position for years to come. If it works out, potentially the next 10 years +. I think your point about being at 5 and hopefully not going to be selecting this early for a while, sells it for me. We have to get our man.
However, with Paxton Lynch and Chad Kelly still getting votes of confidence in a sense, do we have need for another developmental QB.
I pray if we don’t go Josh Rosen or Baker Mayfield, we don’t go Saquon Barkley. Maybe controversial but feel it would be a bad move for us.

I think that it’s possible that Keenum might be the guy and the 2 year deal works out best for everyone: we can move on if it doesn’t work out and if it does, Keenum can sign a 4/5 year deal for a lot more money as the true franchise QB.
That being said, I would feel more optimistic coming out of the draft with Mayfield/Rosen, which is ironic, as it’s probably the option that leads to less short term success!
If we don’t go QB then if we could get 3 or 4 out of the following list, I’d feel very positive: Tremaine Edmunds; Denzel Ward; Will Hernandez; Tyrell Crosby; LVE; Nick Chubb; Isaiah Oliver; Harrison Phillips; Fred Warner; Ian Thomas; Michael Gallup; Equanimeous St. Brown; Durham Smyth; Kalen Ballage; Folorunso Fatukasi; Daurice Fountain; Isaac Yiadom; Kyzir White.

You want answers…I mean, questions? Here’s a couple for you:
1) With the Bills’ recent OL troubles and that no-one might trade with them then might they consider a strong arm QB who is quite athletic and has learned how important study is to the NFL… obviously talking Paxton here. First choice of 3rd round would be excellent and could be packaged up to get back in the bottom of the first round.
2) If Zac’s scenario comes to pass and the Broncos are looking at winning 2020 in Baker/Rosen’s third year, might Broncos consider trading…Von Miller?! I love the guy, but with him we still went 5-11. Maybe could pick up Rashan Gary next year/year after as the beginnings of rebuilding what has been a struggling pass rush?
3) Have you guys watched Draft Day yet?! Zac – if you were house-bound for almost a week then you have no excuse!
Take care and thanks, as always guys!

We also won the Superbowl with him. The issues weren’t on the defensive side last year and our offense/special teams left them with poor field position to defend.
Noreik
Excellent points, ManxBronco, though I’m wondering if Von Miller will be past his prime by the time the rest of the team catches up to him. I hope not: he’s the name on my Broncos jersey, but a concern.
I think at points the defense wasn’t as good as it maybe thought it was (Eagles game; Talib jogging after Hill in the KC game) but after 1 1/2 seasons of trying to carry the offense, it’s hard to fault them too much for that.
And maybe it’s not such a bad thing: if we would have won two more games, then we could have been picking at 14 – bye, bye top QB option in round 1!

Off the wall question for you guys. My draft weekend priorities are being stretched thin as it is right now between the draft, concerts, kickball, and of course the new Avengers movie. Sadly, I think watching the draft will take priority over seeing the Avengers opening weekend, which bums me out a bit. If you were casting Broncos (current and former) for your own Avengers squad, who would you choose? And who is the big bad for them to overcome?

The voicemail question I asked right before this podcast was posted. You addressed it in segment one. It’s kinda strange how well you answered/addressed it. So no need to play it on Wednesday’s show. I asked it too late for it to be ready for the Tuesday show. My bad!
Well we’re all slamming you with stuff now, huh?
First, I’d like to say that all the stuff BSN does for its subscribers is amazing and it makes me really proud to be a lifetime subscriber.
Second, Cordarrelle Patterson came out saying that Marquette King was a diva and that nobody liked him. A) of course he’s a diva! HE’S THE DAMCING PUNTER! B) does this help or hurt him in the locker room? C) does this fuel the fire for his revenge on the Raiders?
