With the news of Aqib Talib being traded coming down about 5 minutes ago, do you think it was vital to do this anyways or is this a major push for Cousins?
Keep crushing it and I hope the birthday festivities were as good as the coverage: maniac-level
Spacebar
Hey Gunner,
I know the guys are going to answer you but I also wanted to put in my thoughts…..hopefully they actually match Ryan and Zac’s thoughts as well.
As much as I like Talib, for the Broncos as a whole, I think this was a good move. Not only are the Broncos saving a little in cap but they just received a 5th rd draft pick. If the Broncos just released Talib, they would not have gain the capital. Or they could have just kept him for the last year, but not have the cap space. The team believes in Roby and Harris Jr. They have another great tandem for another no-fly zone at half the price. This may really help for the push for Cousins, but I also believe the team would prefer this even if they did not get Cousins. As as I am writing this, Brees is still not under contract and if the Broncos go after Brees, this extra money will definitely help!
GO BRONCOS
Dang Spacebar! I gotta say I agree with you, and that I too just wanted to see if the guys echoed the sentiment. My question for you is this: WHO’S GONNA SNATCH THE CHAINS???
No, for real though, he’s gonna be missed and I hope we have the guys to replace him.
GO BRONCOS!

Now that Talib is gone, how likely is it that the Broncos take at least one DB in the draft? Even if they sign a nickel corner via free agency? Do you think the Broncos would most likely target a corner in day 2 or day 3? What are your thoughts on Jaylen Dunlap out of Illinois? He looks like he is not afraid to tackle and play physical which is a trait I appreciate in a corner. Congrats on the baby Andre and Happy Birthday Ryan!

This is for Zac and Ryan
I just wanted to say sorry for the question. I was swamped at work and got behind on listening to the podcast. I had heard that thin not throwing was no big deal and I wanted to get you guys opinion on it. After I had sent the question I heard you guys talk about Darnold.
My next thought has to do with the Mount Rushmore question. I just watched the NFL Network’s Top 10 Broncos and here is the list they put out.
1. John Elway
2. Terrell Davis
3. Shannon Sharpe
4. Champ Bailey
5. Peyton Manning
6. Steve Atwater
7. Rod Smith
8. Randy Gradishar
9. Karl Mecklenburg
10. Von Miller
A couple of things I thought was interesting about the list. One, Von just made the list at #10. Second, no Floyd Little. Third, they debated if Peyton Manning deserves to be on the list. Some felt he was not himself in the last two years and did not belong on this list. Others said the fact he went to two SuperBowls and won one he belongs on the list. But the best part I thought of the show was how much they teased Tim Tebow being on the list, going as far as basically saying the number one Bronco is NOT Tim Tebow as they are showing pictures of him. I would like to know you thoughts and anyone’s thoughts on the list.
Thanks to the AWESOME podcasts.

Hey guys, Brittan from Bermuda here,
Say we get Kirk Cousins in Free Agency, is there any chance that we draft Quenton Nelson and move him to Tackle? Does he have the intangibles needed to play Tackle in the NFL?
Mark in Hawaii
Aloha fellas!
It’s incredible to think that there’s even a chance that in a matter of days Drew Brees could hit the open market if the Saints don’t come to an agreement with him. Without getting our hopes up, would you agree it’s fair to say that Brees’ presence in the free agent market alone improves the Broncos’ chances of landing their guy by giving teams another high quality option? Meaning Cousins would no longer be the only “pretty girl” at the dance.
Also, teams are going to move fast on both players from Day 1. So would you say the Broncos have to choose which guy they want and go all in on one, rather than trying to court both at the same time?
By the time you guys get around to responding, this could all be a moot point. Either way it’s going to be exciting. This is where things start to get really interesting!

What are you guys thoughts on a Teddy and Barkley backfield? And What do you think the broncos do with that 5th round pick they got for Talib thanks and keep up the great work
