The heart of BuffNation collectively dropped on Saturday night when Wesley Gordon limped off the court after taking a collision to his knee. Fans grew wearier when he was seen limping to the locker room, unable to put any weight on his right leg.

But Buffs far and wide can breathe a slight sigh of relief as x-rays on the leg came back negative and Gordon did make the trip to Vegas with the team on Sunday afternoon.

There is no word on whether Gordon will be available on Tuesday when the Buffs take on Penn State but Colorado SID Troy Andre did say he was, “Doing better today.”

Gordon was in the midst of the best stretch of his career, averaging 9.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3 blocks per game over the five games before he went down, earning repeated praise from head coach Tad Boyle over the past few weeks.

Despite a big, 19 point, 10 rebound performance from Tory Miller in Gordon’s absence on Saturday night, the junior forward’s availability could be key to the Buffs bringing home the Las Vegas Classic championship.
