One of the great things about the world we live in today is the connections that can be so easily made with social media. I was lucky enough to get to podcast with Seth Partnow, the Managing Editor of NylonCalculus.com, and Adam Mares, DenverStiffs.com, NylonCalculus.com and HardwoodParoxysm.com last night.

Thankfully the snowstorm that swept over Denver kept Partnow, one of the most respected NBA analytical writers and minds on the web, in town for an extra night and he and Mares were gracious with their time and sat down with me at Jake’s Sports and Spirits.

We get our guests’ takes on all things Nuggets including: Will Barton, Nikola Jokic, Jusuf Nurkic, Gary Harris, Emmanuel Mudiay, Michael Malone, Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried and much more. We also delve into what has been drawing our attention in the NBA this season, and get into some analytics talk and how NBA teams are using that puzzle piece to help with scouting and team building.

In addition to Nylon Calculus, Partnow has had work published with The Washington Post. He lives in Anchorage, Alaska, but was in Denver to check out some Nuggets games this week. Mares has been writing an incredible series this season on HP titled: The Pocket Pass, where he watches a ton of games on a specific team and offers up a detailed breakdown on that team.

We hope you enjoy the show and you can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes by clicking here (a rating and/or comment on iTunes would be greatly appreciated to show your support) and find us on Stitcher by clicking here.

Thanks for listening and enjoy the show.
