On this week’s Colorado Sports Guys podcast, Jeff Morton and I discuss all things Nuggets.

We delve into Emmanuel Mudiay and where the Nuggets rookie point guard is progressing and struggling. We had a chance to chat with head coach Michael Malone at practice to get his thoughts on Mudiay’s playing time and more. Sticking with rookies we discuss the likely favorites for Rookie of the Year in Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks.

Sticking with the rookies we have some sound from Malone on Nuggets rookie power forward / center Nikola Jokic. The big man has skills and has been getting consistent minutes for the team, but in inconsistent ways. Malone was hard on the team after their most recent home loss to the Orlando Magic, but he had some great things to say about Jokic’s skill and his rim protection.

There’s also plenty of talk about Danilo Gallinari, Gary Harris, Randy Foye, Kenneth Faried, Jusuf Nurkic and much more.
