It’s Saturday afternoon, the Colorado State Rams football team doesn’t play their season finale for another four hours while it’s cold and snowy outside in Fort Collins. So, it’s the perfect time to watch the Colorado State Rams men’s basketball team.

Not so fast: You can’t watch the game.

Well, this stinks.

Rams fans all across the country found out the hard way they couldn’t watch the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic championship game, with 5-0 CSU taking on 5-0 UTEP in Corpus Christi, Texas on Saturday.

Some paid for the subscription to UTEP Athletics, which is $9.95 per month, and includes video as well as audio broadcasts of UTEP athletics. It was the only way to view the game for CSU fans, yet, no go.

About one-quarter of the way through the game, we finally all got an explanation.

But, fans weren’t happy with there being no video. Not just because of this game, but because it was far from the first time something like this has happened. Ram fans have become accustomed to not being able to watch their team, especially the men’s basketball team, on television. While football’s TV coverage has certainly improved in recent years, the same frustrations from those previous years only add to this point for those who want to watch their green and gold play hoops at a high level.

So, if you want to listen to the rest of the game, you can here. And the stats are available here.
