Finally, an injury anyone can relate to.

Peyton Manning, the 39-year old quarterback of the Denver Broncos, is currently dealing with plantar fasciitis per CBS4, though the team will not specify what the injury is. And, neither did Vic Lombardi this morning when he broke the news of Manning’s foot pain.

Plantar fasciitis, if that’s what it is, is literally an injury everyday people deal with on a day-to-day basis, especially if their job includes walking long distances.

On Wednesday, while his Broncos teammates took part in a light practice indoors without helmets, Manning observed.

“It’s just really sore coming off the turf,” head coach Gary Kubiak said of Manning’s foot. “It’s been sore for a couple of weeks now. Obviously, we’re inside today, so he did nothing today. He’ll be day-to-day. We’ll just see where he is tomorrow.”

“I feel good,” Manning said Wednesday. “I’ve got to get a little treatment—that’s the day-to-day. It’s kind of that time of year where you have different things, like all players. I made some progress today and it’ll hopefully get a little better tomorrow.”

You can watch Manning’s entire interview period with the Denver press on DenverBroncos.com.

Is Manning too old? At 39, he’s no spring chicken, but he can still get the job done. His arm has looked just fine most of this season and he’s seemed to have some extra energy since the bye week.

And he’s been a warrior his entire career, never missing a game besides the neck surgeries before the 2011 season. Manning will almost certainly play this week when his Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs. That game kicks off at 2:25 p.m. MT and will be televised on CBS.
