Colorado State football is feeling good.
After back-to-back losses, the Rams bounced back and beat their in-state rivals the Air Force Falcons 38-23 Saturday night. Jasen Oden was beastly — but his personal story is what’s really interesting — Nick Stevens played very well and the defense held Air Force to a limited number of explosive plays.
The win represented the Rams’ second victory in the in-state rivalry over the last decade, but second in three seasons the Ram-Falcon Trophy will remain in Fort Collins, its home.
“We had Coach Lubick come in yesterday and he hit on those same lines,” Mike Bobo said after the game Saturday. “He said, ‘Play hard for each other, winning will take care of itself.’ And I thought our guys played hard today in all phases.”
But before he met with the media, Bobo danced in celebration with his team in the locker room. Fast forward to 30 seconds in to see Bobo “dance” as his team embraced him.
At 3-4, 1-2 MW, Colorado State is riding high going into the bye week. Their toughest stretch of the season is over and now they can regroup and rest over the next week before playing San Diego State on Halloween.
