Kapri Bibbs now gets his shot.
Is he the answer the Denver Broncos have been looking for at running back? Is the former Colorado State tailback the solution to the season’s biggest problem?
Not that Bibbs needs more motivation, but he can look at former Rams’ teammate Shaquill Barrett for the last little bit. Given his chance, Barrett has shined and he’s set to start at outside linebacker on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Barrett, pun intended, took his chance and ran with it. He was the start of training camp and preseason. He’s continued what he started and built off of it in the regular season.
Bibbs needs to do the same.
Thanking the lord everyday for his blessings nfl debut tomorrow

For whatever reason, the Broncos running game has been terrible. Whether the offensive line, the backs or the defenses stacking eight or nine guys in the box to stop the run to force Peyton Manning to beat them with his arm, Denver needs to get this figured out.
Yes, the Broncos are 5-0. They have the best defense in the NFL, and one even Tom Jackson thinks is better than his Orange Crush. The special teams is finally really good (for the first time in four years). Those elements won’t go away. In fact, there’s no reason to believe they won’t get better. After all, the season is just going into Week 6.
The offense? The offense is a work in a progress. And the best way for the offense to get going is to run the football. This is not Manning. The notion Gary Kubiak and Rick Dennison should bench him is beyond stupid. He’s still one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Has he made bad decisions? Sure. Has he been unlucky? Absolutely. Is it all on him? Apparently.
What this offense needs, has to get, is a running game. It will force defenses to play for both the pass and the run. They can’t stop both, so whatever those teams decide to focus on the other leads the way. Think back to Super Bowl XXXIII and the Atlanta Falcons putting their focus on Terrell Davis and the running game. John Elway and the passing game is why the offense flourished. The same needs to happen with this team and offense.
C.J. Anderson hasn’t been able to do it.
Ronnie Hillman has had flashes but hasn’t been consistent.
Juwan Thompson is hurt.
All have been unable to deliver in the running game. All have been incapable to make this position their own.
Can Bibbs finally be the magician the Broncos need for their terrible running game? Can he take this chance and run with it?
Hopefully he follows in the footsteps of Barrett.
