Colorado Rockies’ All Star third baseman Nolan Arenado has been named the National League Player of the month for September/October. The third year star posted a .336 batting average, with 12 home runs, and 35 runs batted in, over the course of the 32 games he played in the month. Arenado also put together a 165 wRC+, and a .437 wOBA over the month, cementing his name in the NL MVP discussion. An award which will likely be handed to Bryce Harper.
This is the second time in 2015 a Rockie has won an NL Player of the Month award, the first was when Carlos Gonzalez was given the honor for the month of July. It’s also the 16th time in Rockies history that one of their players has been given the award.
