Troubling responses from the supposed leaders of this team. It reminds me of a story I heard about a one Nate Tomlinson right before the Buffs went on to win 4 games in 4 nights in the Pac 12 Tourney and then 1 more in the opening round of the NCAAs. Nate apparently told the whole team that they just weren’t good. They weren’t better than their opponents, but they could* beat their opponents. Desire and toughness could* outweigh talent and skill, but it would require a paradigm shift in preparation.

I think this team still thinks that they’re better than their opponents. And sadly, that attitude is proving fairly toxic to this team’s success. I keep wondering how many gut punches this team has to endure before they decide to be the ones handing out haymakers instead.

I thought CSU would do it and it’s still eating at them, I think they need time to digest it. If they can find a way to of 2-2 in their first four Pac-12 games they will be fine.
