The Denver Broncos travel to the Music City to take on a surging Tennessee Titans team for the latter of their back-to-back 11 a.m. starts with hopes that Trevor Simian will be under center.
Siemian injured his foot on the first possession of overtime against the Kansas City Chiefs just two short weeks ago and was held out of competition last Sunday in the win against Jacksonville. With No. 13 riding the pine, rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch was able to do just enough to walk away with his first career win.
Head coach Gary Kubiak was asked about the severity of the injury and how well the foot has responded to practice.
“He came in today, and he felt good. We pushed him a little bit harder today. I still see him out there doing some extra [work]. A bunch of good signs,” Kubiak said. “We’ll see how he’s doing tomorrow.”
With the progress the young gunslinger has made, all signs point to Siemian getting the start after being medically cleared to play but Kubiak will not make an official announcement until game-time.
Starting middle linebacker Brandon Marshall will miss his second game of the season as he deals with a hamstring injury suffered last week against the Jaguars, an injury that has kept him out of practice the entire week. With the loss of Marshall, the Orange & Blue will have to find a way to limit the running attack of the Titans which is ranked third in the league this season. Corey Nelson will get the start over the injured linebacker and will be tested all afternoon. Along with Nelson, expect to see the likes of Dekota Watson and Zaire Anderson see extended playing time.
Long snapper Casey Kreiter will miss his third consecutive game as he deals with a lingering calf injury has officially been ruled out for the contest within the walls of Nissan Stadium. Thomas Gafford has been playing in replace of Kreiter and will get the nod once again Sunday.

On Saturday, the Broncos placed recently signed wide receiver Marlon Brown on injured reserve and called up linebacker Quentin Gause from their 10-man practice squad. Gause will provide added depth in the LB corps with the loss of Marshall.
