Broncos compare themselves to Thanksgiving dishes

 

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Ah, Thanksgiving at Denver Broncos headquarters. Twas actually a fine day at the UC Health Training Center; John Elway and Joe Ellis made an appearance at practice, Gary Kubiak invited the media over for dinner and the locker room was jumping. It was a true family atmosphere.

In the spirit of the holiday, we asked several Broncos which dish they would be on the Thanksgiving table based on their personality. The result, some good answers, some… not as good.

DeMarcus Ware

“I would be the dressing because there are so many intricate things that it takes, ingredients wise, to go into dressing but it always tastes the same… It has two different names, juts like me being Bruce Banner and the Incredible Hulk out there on the football field; it’s the same thing. You can call it stuffing, you can call it dressing but you’re still going to get the same flavor.”

Aqib Talib

“I would be the Mac & Cheese because that’s the dish that everybody has, you know what I’m sayin’? It’s one of the most favorite dishes; it’s a dish that, no matter what culture it is, they are probably going to have that Mac & Cheese.”

Taurean Nixon

“I would be seafood stuffing because it’s like crawfish, shrimp, crab meat, all that in stuffing. Stuffing is already a special dish, you know? You add that Louisiana flavor with the seafood in the stuffing and you take it to the next level.”

Emmanuel Sanders

“I would be the main dish, the turkey because everybody looking for me.”

Derek Wolfe

“I don’t know… I don’t really like Thanksgiving food. I don’t like turkey; it makes you tired. I don’t really like the holidays, to be honest. It’s some made up bulls*** so people have to buy things.”

Lorenzo Doss

“I would be the turkey because everybody craves the turkey and right now everybody craves me.”

(I told him he should be cranberry Doss)

“I would be stuffing (loud laughter with teammates and indecipherable explanation)”

Donald Stephenson

“The turkey because I’m front and center, right in the middle.”

“I would be the Mac & Cheese.”

“I would be a pecan pie because I love sweets.”

“I would be sweet potato pie.”
