Mudiay can succeed more when he has and embraces an attitude adjustment. For example, one game he tells the local sideline Altitude reporter “statistics don’t matter, I just have to play my game”…then the next night when he is nationally interviewed pre-game by NBA TV he says all the right team player/development cliches. My point is that his play this year seems to represent the first quote alot more. Mudiay can be a great player for the Nuggets, but he has to earn his minutes just like everybody else which I think he has gotten a pass on up until recently. I think the team and the fans were so
ready to get Lawson out of town and so excited to have a new talented young point guard who said he was happy to play for Denver right from the beginning when he was drafted. Right now, as many have said, he should focus on playing to his strengths as a point guard without trying to be Mr. Everything as his usage and turnover rate suggest. Ideally, Denver can develop a lethal starting and rotational backcourt with Mudiay, Murray, Harris, Barton and Beasley…true competition will help everyone get better.
